If you've read my blog or follow me on social media you know I love books. And by love - I mean loooooove. I truly enjoy holding a book in my hands and slowly savouring and relishing in each page. I'm a total bookworm and will happily always be that way. Even though I'm a knitwear designer I still grab any chance to read. Whether it be while knitting or after hours, I've always got at least a few books on the go ranging from fiction to health/nonfiction. You know that feeling you get when reading a fiction book you're beyond excited to dive into? It's sooo good right? Well, I also get that feeling when I find fabulous knitting books. What's even better is when that fabulous knitting book is written by your equally as fabulous friend.

Once in a while I spot a piece of jewelry and I just fall head over heels in love! That kind of love where you stop everything you're doing - yes, even your knitting - and say out loud "I need that in my life".

It's no secret that I'm a fan of Hannah Fettig's (of KnitBot) patterns and her books. I adore her clean aesthetic and styling and was happy to see her newest book - Texture: Exploring Stitch Patterns in Knitwear, is filled with patterns that allow what Hannah does best shine!

I love it when some of my favourite things combine to make something truly awesome! Imagine my delight when watching the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life a few weeks ago on Netflix and spotting handmade knitwear on the show!!! Then to make it even more exciting we found out the GG Revival has patterns for them using the gorgeous Fiber Co. Yarn!!!!! Squeeeee! The Fibre Co & I were so excited we just had to have a giveaway for you guys!!! Yay!!!

I'm thrilled to be a part of Kate Oate's (of Tot Toppers) blog tour for her gorgeous new book "Grown: Sophisticated Sweater Designs from the Maker of Tot Toppers". This lovely collection of 10 raglan-style sweater patterns are all inspired by original Tot Toppers patterns and are transitioned thoughtfully and intentionally for grown-ups. What a fun idea! The majority of the patterns in Grown are unisex (yay!) and there are also patterns just for men or women. I really loved this feature and found that the entire book was well thought out in regards to these elements for shaping, sizing etc.

Last week I had my friend and talented designer - Andrea Rangel On the blog with her great guest post on colorwork (see it Here) and today I'm super thrilled to review & giveaway her brand new book "Rugged Knits: 24 Practical Projects for Everyday Living"! I'm so beyond proud and thrilled for her (both as a friend and a colleague)! This book speaks so true to Andrea's personal sense of style - the knits are functional, yet they are beautiful with thoughtful details. If you know Andrea, you know that what she designs she lives in. She bikes, camps, hikes and more - and all while doing these activities she's adorned in her knits! I'm so happy to call her a friend and I'm even happier to share her lovely book with all of you during our Summer Sweater Knit Along!

I've got a special giveaway for you all today! Why is it special you may ask? It's special because I love nothing more than seeing a talented and sweet friend make a dream come true! Tanis of Tanis Fiber Arts had a goal last year and she went after it! She set out to create an eco-friendly, organic, Washable wool and boy did she hit a home run! The leaves have been turning colour, my youngest is now in Kindergarten (her first full day is today.....insert me crying happy tears of mixed emotions), and I've finally gotten some time to sit down and get the sewing machine whirring!
